SOAS Blog article on Geshe Tashi

Over the summer we were contacted by Isobel Edwards at SOAS for an alumni article on Geshe la’s BME medal award from the Queen. Geshe la answered Isobel’s questions, and we think you will enjoy reading what he had to say here.

Given the date of the article, you’ll notice that there has been a delay in posting this blog. We have been having trouble with one of the plugins on the site that deals with subscriber mail outs. It seems it may be a residual problem left over from the highly sophisticated hacking attacks we had last year. You’ll be pleased to hear we’ve been fully secure for some time now (through the security firm Sucuri) and have had no new incidents. We have someone who is looking into cleaning this plugin issue up for us in his spare time, it is just taking longer than expected. In the meantime please feel free to keep visiting the site as usual, will continue to welcome any and all comments.

With best wishes,

Geshe Tashi’s Travels: a Brief Update

Geshe-la has kindly recorded a video message for us.

He shares his latest activities as Abbot of Sera Mey Monastery; his trip to Bodhgaya to lead Essence of Eloquence seminar groups and meetings with His Holiness the Dalai Lama; his trips to Varanasi and Ganden Monastery; Tibetan New Year at Sera Mey; and attending His Holiness’s teachings in a cold and snowy Dharamsala.

Enjoy!
